We finally made it! Moving to our new factory and offices in UK was not a simple task and everyone that was involved should feel proud of their efforts. We have moved to a 33,000 sq foot modern unit in Glossop which is in the Peak Forest National Park district, although we are only 25 min from Manchester city centre and 30 min from Manchester airport. Our new "home", includes 24 administration, planning and production offices plus 3 acres of parking, storage and loading facilities.

As we now have all our manufacturing and administration under one roof, each and every enquiry for Timber Frame, Engineered Components, Windows, Doors and Metal Fabrications is dealt with centrally. This will also allow us to increase our products base and we are installing a "volumetric" line to produce factory finished modular units that will be classed as affordable and versatile combination buildings - we deliver the units to site in the morning and the tenant moves in later the same day. We will also be developing our unique "house in a box" system and this will be announced in the trade press very soon.

Some of the machinery we had to move from our other manufacturing units created a nightmare because of the size and sheer weight, then there was the miles of cables to install in the new factory for each machine, not to mention telephones, computers, office furniture and most important to the "lads" the brew facility room! On more than one occasion it was necessary to move a machine from the old Manchester factory after 4.00pm and get it to the new factory, installed and running by 8am the following morning to prevent delays in production.

We are currently creating a showroom within the factory so visitors can see first-hand what the latest technology offers and compare different materials and finishes. Not only does this save a builder precious time looking for the right materials and finishes, it also helps us to demonstrate the huge range of options and the rapid change that modern methods of construction offers in the 21 st century. Whether you are a construction professional or a self-builder we look forward to meeting you so, if you would like to visit us at PEAKDALE HOUSE our technical staff and engineers will gladly assist and advise you on your project
